Starfallen Racial Features

When these elves are born, there are two Scribes that attend; a regular Scribe and a Nightgazer. One oversees the birth of the child (the Scribe), while the other watches the night sky from dusk to dawn (the Nightgazer).

A falling star indicates the arrival of the child, and the Nightgazer will mark the grid in the sky where it is last seen. The star itself points to the constellation that will influence the newborn elf. If there is no known constellation, they will use their starstone to locate one. (Sometimes the constellation is further away in space and not seen by the naked eye)

This constellation is the foundation of this elf from birth. From everything to hair, to magic colors, to altering their path in life due to their unique abilities granted by the constellation.

(Added to that is the star.  There's a 50/50 chance the Nightgazer can pinpoint the exact star that will represent the elf. For instance, within the Briar Rose constellation, there are 6 major stars for every color of rose. If a Nightgazer can pinpoint which of these Stars the fallen star marks, then not only will the Elf have a constellation, but a main star as well. IE: Mythral is of the Briar Rose constellation and her significant star is the Purple Rose as her mothers is the Yellow Rose star.)

Important aspects:
Hair: Some Constellations have specific colors they tend to produce, and because of that, Orders have cropped up to enhance the natural abilities they are born with. IE: The Kirin constellation tends to have white hair with a golden sheen, and either a yellow or blue nebula underneath. These elves have a tendency to excel in purification or healing magic. Others, like the Phoenix constellation, tend to have varying shades of red, orange, or flame type colors. These elves are known for their fire abilities, or even rejuvenation abilities.

Hair part two: If a Starfall elf has their hair down, a nebula can be seen and twinkling stars that backlight their face and neck and give them an otherworldly appearance. These nebulas tend to resemble the constellation they’re from and is a natural occurrence to their race and does not require their own energies. This is due to the fact that as Starfallen, they burn with the energy of the stars, but there’s so much energy that it needs somewhere to vent. To keep it from harming their brain, the energies vent around their neck and produce a natural nebula that reflects the stars in their hair.

Note: Starfallen can redirect the heat to their hands or feet if need be. Some elves will do this to "power up" their weapons that take on the nebula effects/energy.

Eyes: Starfall elves have regular eyes, however, when they use their powers they go all white and will glow with their primary or secondary star color. This is not true for the first Starfallen. Their eyes sparkle with stars.

Skin: Any color  - some have freckles or “moles” that also shine like stars

Their birthmark resembles their constellation + an extra star which is theirs. This can appear anywhere on the body. The freckles tend to glow like stars.

Gender: All Genders (reproduction note: their nebula contain their DNA and are a secondary means for conception of children. If two Starfallen's nebula come in contact often and during a certain hormone cycle, then whoever is incubating could be impregnated. This allows f/f pairs and non-binary folx, the ability to have kids.

First Generation features: Those blessed by the Pillars directly; star strewn hair and stars in their eyes
Second Gen (born to the blessed): nebula features under the hair, eyes glow when powers activated, varying range of skin colors (orange, green, blue, etc) and not just limited to the elves they were born from since skin color and hair can be affected by their constellation/star. Can also redirect their heat into their weapon to provide extra power to it. Magic affects on weapon generally appear as a nebula surrounding it.

Weapons and Starstones: All scribes/Nightgazers harvest the crystals from the Pillars meteors in order to develop the Starstones used by Nightgazers, but the scribes also find uses for them. Powered by the stars, when these crystals come in contact with a metal known as mercinal, it helps to solidify the metal, but also the magical properties allow for the metal to bend and shape to the users will.

These starstones and mercinal metals were then used for weapons, magical writing utensils and more. Anything created with it would also leave a trail of stars in its wake, or pens would write and the ink would have sparkles in it. Starstones come in many shapes and sizes, but because of how the metal acts with it, weapons can easily be transformed for ease of carrying.

Eventually, all Starfallen receive or are given their own, often times passed down from parents or grandparents.

Constellations

Constellation alignments: similar to our zodiac, constellations have a positive and negative aspect. Take for example the Briar Rose constellation. The positive aspect stars are almost always roses, while the negative aspected elves are considered thorns. Just like the zodiac, multiple people can be represented by a constellation and even the same star (IE: Order of the Yellow Roses are all Elves whose specific star within the Briar Rose is Yellow)

Constellations:
Briar Rose: Red, Yellow, White, Pink, Purple and Blue stars (lesser stars = thorns)
Cauldron: 6 stars (lesser stars = empty)
Tree of Life: A cluster of stars for the leaves and then 3 stars for branches, 3 stars for the trunk, and 3 stars for the roots. (lesser stars = mites)
Gryphon: 15 bright stars
The Tiger: 11 bright stars
Cloak and Dagger: 12 bright stars
Hammer: 10 bright stars (lesser stars = nails)
Kirin: 14 bright stars
The Grimoire: 7 bright stars (lesser stars = pages)
Scythe: 5 bright stars

The crypt: 10 bright stars
The Muses: 16 bright stars

Classes (WIP)

Note: these are specialized classes, but they can also be regular classes found in DnD

Scribe: The first order ever created within the Starfallen, they serve the Pillars directly. Their initial role to find other elves who wanted to be blessed by the stars, now they oversee the main structure of their society and new race as well as overseeing the new births of Starfallen born to the first Scribes who received the initial blessing of the Pillars.

Starscribe: These elves create their own special quill, ink and grimoire to chart the heavens. A starscribe can also discover new constellations along with the Nightgazers. They use their signature magic and starscribe tools to create new constellations (they draw the images in the stars with their magic)  They can also trace these constellations, or make new ones, when in battle or casting spells. Items created this way last for 24 hours unless a blood pact is made, and then it's until the seal is broken.
Starscribes also specialize in glyph's, runess, and sigils.

Nightgazers: One of the special orders of Starfallen which is an offshoot of the Scribes, use special Starstones to locate the constellations at a child's birth, whether they’re near or far. These same stones are used to emblazon the child's birth flower with their constellation. When not overseeing childbirth, they’re tending to their Astralius gardens so that there’s always a flower ready for a birth.

Starstruck: A specialized class that also utilizes celestial magic. Granted one blessing per Pillar every year of training, the blessings boost the weapons performance and aid in extra abilities. Every time the weapon is blessed (up to three times) it gains better stats eventually becoming "Starkissed" after finalizing the third year of training and becoming proficient with the weapon and the magic.
              Blessings of the Pillars:
              * Laurial's Blessing: Stellar Strike - This ability can either heal with a flash of light, or it can blind/stun an                 enemy  on  impact. Add +2 to weapon.
*Jorvus' Blessing: Astral Impact - this ability can either be an AoE healing or AoE damage of meteors                            falling. Add +4 to weapon.
*Craiven's Blessing: Supernova - Chance to explode on impact, leaving a black swirling mass that slowly                       pulls everything in. If they miss their saving throws before it runs out of time, they get sucked in                                permanently or sends out a blast wave that forces all enemies to go back 30 ft and take x-damage. Add + 6                    to weapon.
*Final proficiency after mastering all 3: Starkissed - Add +8 to your weapon, it now glows with radiant                          light and  trails stars in it's wake.

Sirens: Magic casters who sing their spells into existance.
Succubus: Specific to the Briar Constellation, these are Red Rose Starfallen who are born with thorns (horns) and specialize in love magic and empathy.
